Furthermore, the Mainframe Systems Programmer is expected to provide thought leadership within the Global Technology Solutions (GTS) team, offer technical architecture support for hardware and software solutions, possess strong communication skills for client meetings and business deals, and collaborate directly with hardware and software vendors on new solutions. Additionally, the Mainframe Systems Programmer will review and analyze current client software and requirements to determine the most cost-effective and standard software solution to be included in business proposals. The role involves enhancing the performance of others through mentoring and guidance, designing automated monitoring techniques for problem identification and prevention, and providing and documenting problem analysis, resolution, and prevention by developing procedures and best practice techniques. Although this position does not have direct reports, the Mainframe Systems Programmer may mentor less experienced associates in the role. Travel requirements may vary based on field demands.
