You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the organization's storage strategy in alignment with business requirements and IT objectives. This includes designing scalable, resilient, and high-performance storage solutions such as SAN, NAS, and object storage. You will need to evaluate new storage technologies, conduct proof-of-concepts, and provide recommendations for implementation. Contributing to the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans related to storage infrastructure will be part of your role. You will define and enforce storage standards, policies, and best practices to ensure efficient operations. In terms of design and implementation, you will be leading the design, configuration, and administration of mission-critical Fiber Channel Storage Systems like NetApp, HP, and Brocade San Storage. It will also be your responsibility to implement and configure new storage systems, as well as plan and execute data migrations and upgrades with minimal disruption. For management and maintenance, you will proactively monitor storage infrastructure performance, capacity, and availability. Regular health checks, performance tuning, and capacity planning will also fall under your purview. Troubleshooting and resolving complex storage-related issues to ensure minimal downtime is essential. Additionally, you will manage storage provisioning, allocation, and reclamation processes, as well as implement data protection strategies including backups, replication, and archiving. You will provide technical leadership and mentorship to other storage engineers and IT staff, guiding them in their technical growth and development. Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as server, network, database, and application teams is crucial for effective coordination. In terms of security and compliance, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining storage security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management. Ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations and internal policies related to data storage will also be part of your duties.,
