As an Engineering Director, Quality Engineering, you will lead multiple engineering teams, including managers and senior engineers. Your main focus will be on establishing and driving the Enterprise Readiness Strategy for Pure Storage products. Enabling product engineers to deliver high-quality software to customers and building automated test platforms and infrastructure to accelerate innovation will be key responsibilities. Providing technical direction, mentoring to engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve successful project outcomes are essential aspects of this role. To excel in this position, you must understand the dynamics of global R&D, possess deep knowledge of local culture, and align with Pure values and leadership attributes. Leading and influencing multiple stakeholders across cross-functional teams will be crucial in driving the quality engineering practices forward. Partnering with various teams, including Development, program and product management, and Customer Support, to identify new use cases and improve enterprise readiness expectations will also be part of your responsibilities. Your role will involve scaling up processes for test-driven development in an integrated CI/CD environment, expanding the shift left approach for Quality Engineering, and collaborating with remote teams to continuously enhance FlashArray & FlashBlade Enterprise Quality. By building teams, driving quality engineering best practices, defining quality metrics, and contributing to the test strategy, you will play a key role in the success of the engineering projects. Your ability to challenge the status quo, drive automation strategies, and improve processes will be essential in achieving efficiency and quality improvements. As part of the Quality Engineering team, you will work on delivering world-class enterprise class technologies & products, partnering with Engineering leadership, Product management, and internal/external stakeholders to drive quality system-level products. You will be responsible for defining and leading Enterprise Readiness Quality strategy, driving automation-first practices, and ensuring timely project delivery. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in developing test strategies, automation frameworks, and ensuring test-driven development integrated with CI/CD pipelines. Your leadership and technical expertise will be instrumental in shaping the success and growth of the team. To be successful in this role, you should have at least 15 years of experience in Enterprise Products, with a minimum of 8+ years of Leadership experience, including 2+ years of second-level management experience. Proven track record in driving Quality Engineering initiatives, expertise in managing projects throughout SDLC, and experience in growing agile environments are essential. Technical hands-on leadership in File System, Storage Ecosystem, and a passion for continuous improvement are important qualities for this position. Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a degree in Computer Science or equivalent are also required.
