Job Title: Junior Storage Administrator Huawei Storage Experience: 2 to 4 Years Location: Bangalore Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and technically sound Junior Storage Administrator with 2 to 4+ years of experience in Huawei Storage systems. The candidate will be responsible for supporting storage operations, monitoring system health, handling tickets, and ensuring smooth delivery of Huawei storage services in line with ITIL practices and service SLAs. Key Responsibilities: Huawei Storage Operations & Monitoring: Manage and monitor Huawei storage platforms using tools such as Device Manager and eSight . Perform basic configuration, provisioning, and maintenance tasks. Monitor system health, performance, and capacity usage. Incident, Problem & Change Management: Troubleshoot and resolve Huawei storage-related incidents (INM). Perform root cause analysis of recurring issues (PRM). Support planned changes like firmware updates and storage expansions (CHM) following defined change control processes. Delivery Order Management (DOM): Execute provisioning and decommissioning tasks for LUNs, volumes, and other storage resources. Coordinate with stakeholders to complete storage delivery orders as per defined timelines. Ticketing & Documentation: Manage tickets for incidents, problems, changes, and requests using ITIL-aligned tools. Maintain documentation for configurations, issue resolutions, and standard operating procedures. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with server, virtualization, and backup teams to ensure end-to-end service availability. Provide regular updates on ongoing issues, activities, and planned changes. Handle lifecycle of ITIL-based processes: Incident Management (INM) – Quickly resolve or escalate storage incidents. Change Management (CHM) – Plan and execute storage changes with minimal impact. Problem Management (PRM) – Identify root causes and contribute to permanent fixes. Delivery Order Management (DOM) – Fulfil customer storage provisioning and decommissioning requests. Create, update, and resolve tickets using ITSM tools (e.g., Service Center3, Remedy, Snow etc.). Perform regular health checks and proactively identify and act on risk factors in storage systems. Collaborate with internal/external teams to execute planned maintenance and storage changes. Maintain proper documentation of configurations, known errors, RCA, and SOPs. Participate in change management and DR drills. Required Skills: 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience with Huawei Storage systems . Good understanding of SAN, NAS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel protocols. Experience with Huawei storage provisioning, replication, and basic performance tuning. Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy). Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications: Huawei Storage Certification (e.g., HCIA-Storage , HCIP-Storage ). Basic scripting (PowerShell, Shell, or Python) for operational automation. Exposure to hybrid storage environments or virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V). Expertise in NetApp ONTAP, SnapMirror, SnapVault, MetroCluster, and Active IQ. Hands-on experience with SAN/NAS protocols (NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, FC). Knowledge of cloud-based storage solutions (AWS FSx, Azure NetApp Files, Google Cloud). Familiarity with automation tools like PowerShell, Ansible, Python. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
