Stock Analyst

The main purpose of the role is to handle stock accounting and reconciliations for one or more entities, particularly focusing on accounting product purchases, capturing product costs and related expenses in the ERP system, as well as accounting for operational and transit losses and gains. The key responsibilities include stock accounting for an offshore entity, reconciling physical inventory records with system stock data, ensuring accurate accounting of product costs on a daily basis, analyzing cost variances, and investigating abnormal losses/gains. Additionally, the role involves ensuring timely submission of daily stock reconciliations, enforcing internal controls in the stocks function, and collaborating with site managers to address challenges in the stock accounting process. The ideal candidate should have 4-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the Oil Downstream industry, and possess an accounting degree or equivalent qualification. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Navision/ERP systems, and strong communication skills are required. Knowledge of stock accounting methods such as Average/FIFO/LIFO is essential, and familiarity with French language is preferred. Candidates with experience in shared services setup are preferable for this role.,
