Job Title: Data Expert Teradata & SQL Location: Hyderabad Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Data Expert with deep expertise in Teradata and SQL to join our data team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining scalable data solutions within our Teradata ecosystem. You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to enable high-quality, performant data pipelines and queries that support analytics and decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex Teradata SQL queries to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives. Design and implement efficient data models , including star and snowflake schemas in Teradata. Monitor, analyze, and tune query performance using Teradata EXPLAIN , DBQL , and statistics collection . Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions. Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes using BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, or Teradata Parallel Transporter (TPT). Implement data quality checks , validation logic, and ensure consistency across environments. Document data pipelines, definitions, and data lineage for governance and compliance. Support data migration or integration projects involving Teradata and other databases (e.g., Oracle, Snowflake, SQL Server). Automate repetitive tasks using scripting (Shell, Python) and workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Control-M). Required Skills and Qualifications: 3+ years of hands-on experience with Teradata SQL in a production environment. Strong knowledge of Teradata architecture , indexing strategies (PI, PPI), and query tuning. Experience with Teradata utilities : BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, and TPT. Role & responsibilities
