As an embedded system engineer, you will be responsible for developing new capabilities, electrical design of vehicle architecture, and troubleshooting avionics subsystems for satellites, including power distribution, vehicle network, onboard sensors, actuators, compute, RF, and video subsystems. Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Conduct requirement specifications and trade studies for hardware selection. 2. Design embedded software for electronic products, ranging from simple microcontroller-based solutions to complex embedded processing systems. 3. Lead smaller embedded systems development projects, identifying necessary tasks and guiding team members to complete them. 4. Collaborate with hardware designers to identify software-related requirements and develop corresponding software design strategies or architectures. 5. Develop detailed software specifications and implement embedded code based on defined requirements and specifications. 6. Assist in bringing new custom embedded processor hardware with support from hardware designers. 7. Establish and execute software verification testing tools and methods. 8. Provide software engineering input for development project quotes. 9. Contribute to the improvement of department processes and tools, particularly related to software development. Advanced skills in developing original designs using Linux C/C++ in embedded environments, including bare-metal, multi-threaded RTOS, and embedded operating systems. 5. Demonstrated ability to independently use electronics lab equipment for developing/troubleshooting low-level drivers and hardware integration (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, etc.). 6. Proficiency with electrical test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies. 7. Programming experience on microcontrollers and embedded systems. 8. Creative problem-solving skills to integrate multiple disciplines and assess risks for design/development decisions. 9. Experience troubleshooting sensors, actuators, and electrical components. 10. Software fluency to automate test or analysis tasks. 11. Self-motivated with strong multi-tasking, organizational, and communication skills. 12. Antenna & Advanced Communication Engineer – Space Division Location: Ahmedabad Company: Stdaux As an Antenna & Advanced Communication Engineer, you will own the full design lifecycle of our space communication systems. You will work on RF antennas (phased arrays, reflectors, Wi-Fi) as well as contribute to cutting-edge developments in free-space optical communication (FSO) for satellite and ground-based links. This is a hands-on role with strong collaboration across cross-functional teams—from initial concept to real-world deployment. Key Responsibilities: Design and prototype RF antenna systems (phased arrays, reflectors, Wi-Fi antennas). Perform EM simulations using CST, HFSS, or similar tools. Develop optical link components (FSO terminals, beam steering modules, etc.). Collaborate with optics, electronics, and mechanical teams to integrate optical systems. Create Python-based tools to automate RF and optical test setups. Perform link budget analysis for both RF and optical systems. Support validation, field testing, and scaling to production. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communication, or Photonics Engineering. 1+ years of experience in RF or optical communication systems (projects/internships acceptable).
