As a member of Synaptic's portfolio operations team, you will be responsible for analyzing data collected by venture capital firms from their portfolio companies. You will be deeply immersed in the world of startups, funding trends, and the venture capital industry, providing you with unparalleled insights into how the industry interacts with startups. Your key responsibilities will include ingesting, analyzing, and structuring vast amounts of unstructured data encompassing financials and key metrics. You will meticulously review company updates to decipher the significance of each metric, discern interconnections, and grasp nuances in their calculations. Additionally, you will be expected to generate innovative ideas, benchmarks, and analyses that empower venture capitalists to extract more value from data. Collaborating with Synaptics engineers and product managers, you will refine processes for analysis, security, and compliance. To excel in this role, you should have prior experience working with large financial data analysis teams and investors. A solid understanding of accounting principles, financial modeling, reporting, and analysis is essential. Furthermore, you must possess in-depth knowledge of key metrics used to evaluate startup performance across industries, including their definitions, calculations, and appropriate usage. Holding an MBA in finance, CFA Level 1 certification or higher, and/or CA qualification will be advantageous. We are seeking a candidate who is a quick learner, stays abreast of current technology trends, and thrives in tackling complex challenges in the financial domain.
