Stargate QA Automation Lead Engineer

As a Stargate QA Automation Lead Engineer at Barclays, you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of the engineering team responsible for the application development, design, testing, and enhancement to build the Stargate platform. Your role will involve leading the application testing and test automation processes, defining and executing test strategies, providing regular management updates, preparing and verifying test suits, conducting functional testing, and contributing to test automation for the Reference Data platform build. You will lead Data Quality Assurance, Functional Testing, and Test Automation for the Reference Data platform. To be successful in this role, you should have experience in QA leadership, team management, manual and automated testing, tools such as Selenium, GoldenSource, cucumber, Xray, Jenkins, and more. Strong leadership qualities, the ability to drive test automation initiatives, comprehend reference data requirements, excellent manual testing experience, and proficiency in tools like SQL, Git, Maven, Cucumber, API testing, and Java are essential. Strong verbal, communication, and analytical skills, as well as experience in building regression packs, are also required. A Bachelor's or Master's degree with relevant experience is preferred. Additionally, a strong understanding of indexing and query optimization is highly valued for improving the performance of tools like Maven, Git, and PostgreSQL. Your primary purpose in this role is to design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects. You will continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to ensure software quality and reliability.
