In this role, you will contribute to: - Conceptualizing network intelligent and data-driven automation strategies across wireline and wireless networks - Shaping the future of AI-native, autonomous 6G networks and their core architectures - Defining research and standards roadmaps for network automation and AI innovations - Collaborating with engineering teams to create novel AI solutions for network challenges - Mentoring and guiding network automation practitioners and data engineers - Staying updated on the latest advancements in network automation and AI technology - Building intellectual property assets for Nokia - Representing Nokia in industry events and publications - Supporting standards organizations with contributions and concepts - Validating concepts through experimental work and prototypes Key Skills and Experience: - PhD in computer science, telecommunications, or related field - 5+ years of experience in automation research for wireline and wireless networks - Knowledge of edge networking, machine learning platforms, and AI fundamentals - Hands-on experience in network automation and data analytics - Strong understanding of various AI sub-fields and data frameworks - Experience with standards specifications and project management - Excellent team collaboration skills and a drive for mentoring Desirable skills include R&D project management experience and expertise in network security and cloud platforms.
