You will play a key role in positioning and winning projects that encompass a variety of services. Collaboration with commercial, project management, engineering, and design technical leaders is essential in creating opportunities for Jacobs to plan, develop, deliver, and operate diverse projects. Your tasks will involve reviewing and understanding the scope of works, as well as the Bill of Quantities (based on the contract provided by the client). A solid understanding of basic engineering principles and familiarity with Standard Codes is necessary. You will supervise to ensure that contractors execute construction activities in compliance with drawings, specifications, and relevant codes/standards. Other duties include studying drawings, obtaining clarifications through RFIs for any discrepancies, reviewing and approving quality plans, inspection & test plans, and work procedures submitted by contractors. Monitoring compliance with quality requirements, issuing quality noncompliance notes, performing tests, coordinating with other discipline engineers, preparing punch lists, scrutinizing and certifying contractors" bills, and maintaining joint measurement records are also part of your responsibilities. To be successful in this position, you should hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering with 8 to 12 years of experience in a leading position, including working in a PMC/EPCM role. Candidates from a consultancy background would be preferred, alternatively, experience with large EPC contractors is also valuable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with leadership abilities, are essential. Your technical expertise will be crucial in supervising the execution of construction activities, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and relevant codes/standards. Your tasks will involve studying drawings, obtaining clarifications through Requests for Information (RFIs), reviewing and approving quality plans, inspection procedures, and test plans submitted by contractors, and monitoring compliance with quality requirements during execution. Issuing quality noncompliance notes, performing tests, maintaining documentation, preparing punch lists, and scrutinizing contractors" bills are all part of your responsibilities. You will need to coordinate with other discipline engineers, release fronts to contractors, maintain joint measurement records, identify piping requirements, inspect materials, ensure HSE procedures implementation, monitor work progress, and communicate effectively with leads and clients. Specific experience in supervising finishes of projects in industries like Paint, Pharma, FMCG, or Industrial projects is desired. To qualify for this role, you should hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering and have 8 to 12 years of experience in a leading position, including working in a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) or Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) role. Candidates from a Consultancy background are preferred, and experience with large Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractors is also valuable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with leadership abilities, are essential.
