Role & responsibilities Oversee end-to-end production activities of components from casting, forging, machining, stamping to final assembly. Monitor daily production plans and ensure adherence to delivery schedules and quality standards. Drive process improvements, OEE enhancement , and implement Lean / 5S / Kaizen practices. Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, and Planning teams to resolve any production bottlenecks. Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and ensure EHS compliance across the shop floor. Ensure timely reporting of production data, downtime, rejections, and performance KPIs . Handle resource allocation, training needs, and skill matrix planning for the production team. Participate in NPI (New Product Introduction) and process validation activities. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and continuously work to improve them Preferred candidate profile Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering. 5-10 years of hands-on experience in casting, forging, machining, and stamping production . Experience in metal and Electrical components assembly and shop floor management. Strong experience in managing shift teams , handling labor, and shop floor discipline. Good knowledge of CNC/VMC machines , jigs & fixtures, and tool handling. Working knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and ISO/IATF standards . Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Exposure to SAP / ERP systems for production reporting is an added advantage. Position Responsibilities : Author and Approve build plan for Aircraft Structural assemblies, Systems and Payloads. Experience in Electrical Commodities, Wire Harness Installation and Fabrication, Electrical/Electronic Components/LRU installation and assembly planning. Mentor and Coach pool of young manufacturing engineers and maintains KPIs for deliverables as set by the organization. Experience and knowledge of manufacturing, methods, fabrication processes (e.g., forming, stamping, machining, heat treatment, machines/machine tools, cutting tools and fluids, instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems) Create/Modify/Approve Installation plans, fabrication plans, and installation plan audits. Knowledge of surface finishes, coatings, paints, sealants, bonding and grounding. Post-production technical experience with emphasis in commercial/military aircraft sustainment, repairs, spares, and modification programs preferred Create Installation plan in CAPP/MES and Author work instructions. Lead the implementation of Standard works in assembly operations for Boeing products Ensure the prevailing Installation plans are audited and meet the defined standards. Continuously review the existing assembly process and drive process improvements Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving Leads in the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies. Leads the development, identification and implementation of conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build. Execute/leads DFM and producibility studies for new product introductions. Participates in the implementation of manufacturing plans. Investigates technical problems. Participates in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies. Ensure compliance to company quality management system requirements. Interfaces with IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience. Advice-Assist-Coach to fellow team members Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): A Bachelors engineering degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION. 8+ years of related work experience in aerospace industry. 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role. Experience with any of the aircraft assembly planning, Electrical and Electronics commodity is desirable Experience with Aerospace Manufacturing, Fabrication, Assembly Processes and Technologies. Experience with creation of manufacturing planning and authoring assembly work instructions. General Drawing Interpretation & GD&T knowledge. Knowledge of Aerospace Materials and Processes. Aware of manufacturing execution systems like CAPP/MES, IPDM. Working knowledge with CATIA/NX Modelling softwares. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor's degree or higher Typical Education & Experience: Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's degree with 8+ Yrs or Masters with 7+ yrs of experience in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, Production Engineering, Materials Engineering. Must be very fluent in spoken and written English, and have excellent communication.
