As a Staff Electrical Engineer at Olympus Corporation, you will play a crucial role in the technical execution of electrical engineering projects within the company. Reporting to the Associate Director, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership while also overseeing certain project management aspects. Your collaboration with Global R&D and India leads will be instrumental in driving the design, development, and troubleshooting of electrical systems for medical devices. Your primary responsibilities will include leading the hands-on development and execution of electrical designs, ensuring high performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle. You will manage the selection and integration of components, sensors, and electronic systems, while also conducting detailed design reviews to refine electrical architectures. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to seamlessly integrate electrical designs into the overall product architecture. Additionally, you will provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and vendor partners, ensuring alignment with long-term innovation strategies. Your role will involve developing and validating test protocols for electrical systems, implementing new technologies to enhance the functionality and reliability of medical devices, and identifying process improvements to optimize product development. In terms of project management, you will lead the technical tracking of project progress, create detailed project plans, and manage technical resource plans to meet project timelines. You will proactively troubleshoot technical challenges, support RAID management, and provide technical reports on project progress to the PMO. Your expertise in risk management and problem-solving will be crucial in addressing engineering challenges throughout the product development process. Furthermore, you will be responsible for leading the technical setup of engineering tools and workflows, establishing testing and validation protocols, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering efficiency. Ensuring compliance with global regulatory and safety standards, as well as facilitating technical knowledge-sharing sessions within the function, will be essential aspects of your role. To be successful in this position, you are required to have a degree or higher qualification in Biomedical or Electrical Engineering, with at least 10 years of experience in electrical engineering R&D within the medical devices domain. Proficiency in electrical engineering, electronics, and mechatronics, along with strong communication and stakeholder management skills, will be key to excelling in this role. Your technical expertise, experience in medical device development, and familiarity with regulatory standards will contribute to the successful execution of electrical engineering projects at Olympus Corporation.,
