Staff Software Engineer - QA Automation

Role Overview: As a Staff Software Engineer - QA Automation at Qualifacts, you will be primarily responsible for creating and executing automated functional, regression, and load application tests in an agile development environment. Your role will involve reviewing existing application functionality, product documentation, and manual test cases to develop automated test scripts. You will also contribute to maintaining automation quality standards, test systems, and design and write automated tests for system integration, performance, and failover testing. Key Responsibilities: - Design test plans and write test scripts for automated testing - Transform user stories, workflow diagrams, testing environments, and data sets into test scripts - Conduct back-end tests using database queries, scripts, and tools outside of the application UI - Review execution logs and perform trend analysis - Focus on lessons learned for continuous process improvement Qualifications Required: - 3+ years of experience in developing, maintaining, and ensuring quality of a web application using various automated testing tools - Proficiency in using test automation tools for functional, load, and performance testing - Hands-on experience in developing automated tests with Selenium and BDD libraries, preferably using an Object-Oriented approach for web-based applications - Familiarity with Software as a Service (SaaS) web-application environments - Experience in testing large scale websites and web services - Knowledge of TDD and Unit Testing - Experience with CI/CD pipelines - Demonstrated experience in the QA lifecycle with the ability to articulate the QA process and produce tangible outputs like test plans, test scripts, bug reports, etc. Please note that this is an onsite position, 5 days a week, at the Vadodara office, and remote applicants will not be considered.
