Staff Software Engineer Front End

As a Staff Software Engineer (Front End) at Agoda, you will play a crucial role in the product development team, responsible for designing, building, and optimizing user interfaces to engage users with visually appealing and functional web applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless application functionality and deliver high-quality products. In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive collaboration with Product, Product Design, and Engineering teams to construct and deliver high-quality products on the web. You will lead by example in writing quality code that meets requirements and adheres to architectural and front-end coding standards. Additionally, you will contribute to optimizing applications using best practices for performance, propose upgrades for security and development practices, build shared component libraries, and mentor junior team members. To succeed in this role, you should have at least 8 years of experience in front-end development, proficiency in client-side frameworks (React preferred), strong core front-end skills in JavaScript and TypeScript, experience with component libraries, and a passion for client-side performance optimization. Experience in driving changes across teams, collaborating through code reviews, and architecture discussions is essential. Desired qualifications include experience leading teams and projects, working with large-scale applications at scale, analyzing big data, proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript libraries (e.g., VueJS, AngularJS), and adherence to modern coding and design practices such as Clean Code, SOLID principles, and TDD.
