Staff Software Engineer - Compute Infrastructure

Job Description: You will be part of the compute infrastructure team at Rippling, responsible for managing the application in both production and non-production environments, overseeing the CI pipeline infrastructure, and ensuring governance for product team specific infrastructure needs. The primary code base is a python monolith, and you will have the opportunity to work at the framework level used by developers. The team is distributed between the US and India and utilizes tools such as AWS EKS & ECS, Python, Datadog, and terraform. Key Responsibilities: - Solve problems related to deployment infrastructure in innovative ways - Develop tools to enhance developer efficiency and facilitate the production of high-quality code - Enhance home-grown frameworks - Adapt deployment infrastructure as the monolith is refactored and split - Design scalable and robust systems to support Rippling's rapid growth - Collaborate with developers across teams to understand their needs and deliver projects that meet those needs effectively Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 8 years of professional work experience in cloud infrastructure - Proficiency in build, development, or release systems such as Git, Jenkins, Chef, and Docker - Background in backend development is a significant advantage, especially for working on the Python-based homegrown frameworks - Strong desire to work alongside a team of highly skilled and innovative engineers in the industry Please note that official communication from Rippling will only be sent from @Rippling.com addresses.,
