Role Overview
We are looking for a Staff SDET with a strong foundation in software engineering and a passion for quality at scale. This role is ideal for someone who can architect robust test automation frameworks, drive quality strategy across teams, and mentor engineers in best practices. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the quality culture and ensuring the delivery of high-performing, scalable, and secure software systems.
- Architect and implement scalable, maintainable, and reusable test automation frameworks across multiple platforms (Web, API, Mobile, Backend).
- Leverage latest advancements in AI and ML technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the test automation.
- Design and development of shared and scalable Test infrastructure solutions optimizing cost
- Collaborate with Engineering team to ensure testability and quality are built into the design from the ground up
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure fast feedback loops.
- Mentor and guide junior SDETs and QA engineers in automation, coding standards, and quality best practices.
- Partner with DevOps and Security teams to ensure end-to-end system reliability and compliance.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software development and test automation.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript).
- Deep understanding of test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, REST Assured).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Deep understanding knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and system integration testing.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling) and security testing practices. Experience with Chaos engineering tools (e.g., Chaos Monkey, Gremlin) Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack). Our Hybrid work model: Coupang hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration that acts a catalyst to enrich the experience of employees. Employees are required to work at least 2 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 2 days a week, depending on the role requirement. Some businesses may require more time in office due to nature of work.
