Staff Product Manager

Role Overview: You will be joining Kong, a fast-growing and well-funded company that is building the future of API management for developers. As a Staff Product Manager for Kongs observability offerings, your primary responsibility will be to lead the enhancement and expansion of Kongs existing observability and tracing offerings. Observability plays a crucial role in why customers choose Kong and Konnect, making your role critical to the company's growth and success. You will collaborate closely with a talented engineering team and have 360-degree ownership of the product, engaging with various stakeholders to deliver value and drive the product roadmap forward. Key Responsibilities: - Define and Drive Product Vision: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and execute a clear vision for Kongs observability & debuggability experiences for connectivity runtimes, ensuring alignment with customer needs and long-term plans. - Lead Execution: Partner with engineering and design leaders to deliver capabilities that bring customer value and promote Kong Event Gateway as a major feature. - Customer-Focused Planning: Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and translate this understanding into artifacts outlining target use cases and milestone plans. - Ensure Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with different teams to align on use case execution, milestone delivery, and launch plans. - Develop Roadmaps and Plans: Create and maintain an external-facing roadmap that clearly communicates the product direction and collaborate with Product Marketing Management for a clear launch plan. - Champion Communication and Transparency: Serve as the central point of communication, keeping stakeholders informed on progress and outcomes. Qualifications Required: - 6+ years of experience in product management, specifically working on developer infrastructure products and with technical customers. - Deep understanding of customer needs, onboarding, and product adoption. - Knowledge of common tools and patterns in the Observability and data ecosystem such as Prometheus, Grafana, Zipkin/OpenTracing, OpenTelemetry, Druid, ClickHouse, etc. - Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders, identify core pain points, and articulate a clear product vision.,
