Provide comprehensive bedside nursing care as per physician’s orders and nursing protocols.
Monitor vital signs, administer medications, IV fluids, and injections accurately.
Assist doctors during rounds, procedures, and emergencies.
Maintain aseptic techniques and ensure infection prevention and control (IPC) practices.
Perform nursing assessments, identify patient needs, and implement care plans.

Patient Safety & Quality (NABH Focus)

Adhere to NABH standards, hospital SOPs, and nursing protocols.
Ensure accurate documentation in patient records, nursing notes, and electronic systems.
Participate in audits, clinical indicators monitoring, and corrective action plans.
Report and document incidents, near-misses, and medication errors as per NABH guidelines.

Patient Education & Communication

Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment, discharge instructions, and preventive health practices.
Ensure empathetic communication and respect for patient rights.
Maintain confidentiality and dignity of patients.

Administrative & Supportive Functions

Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge processes of patients.
Maintain proper handover and takeover during shift changes.
Ensure availability and proper usage of equipment, consumables, and emergency drugs.
Support hospital policies on biomedical waste management.

Emergency Care

Respond promptly to Code Blue, Code Red, and other hospital emergency codes.
Perform CPR and assist in lifesaving interventions.
