Job Description

Provide holistic /comprehensive patient care to the allotted patients.
Compliance to nursing manuals/protocols at all circumstances while on duty.
Following medical prescriptions/orders and taking care of patients need
Complete hand over/take-over of her assigned patients including physically checking patients and their units.
Checks her special assignments like checking of crash cart, checking inventory, or any other assignment given by in-charge
Records and Reports any losses and breakage in the unit.
Plans, organizes, and delivers nursing care in a manner that upholds organizational values, healing, promotion of health and prevention of complications
Prepare patients for and assist with examination and as per doctor's prescription
Maintenance of nursing records including nurse’s notes, charts, consents, and initial assessment data for all assigned patients as per protocols.
Maintains continuity of care through clear and concise verbal and written communication with all departments, internal and external customers
Reception and orientation of newly admitted patients assigned to him/her.
Collects and sends all relevant documents duly completed to ensure speedy transfers or discharge process. Will accompany all critical & unstable patients.
Performs nursing procedures as per set protocols in the department
Imparts relevant health education to patients and families and documents the same.
Follow end of life care, maintain.be empathetic and accompany deceased to mortuary if required
Attends all in-service education programs and takes mandatory certification programs.
Takes responsibility and accountability in professional advancement
Follow Hospital Infection control practices.
Maintain safe & infection free environment
Accompanies Consultants on rounds patient care.
Ensures to take responsibility of Admissions, Discharges, and Transfers to other department.
Ensures to take responsibility for collection of samples and sending for investigations.
Understand all Quality indicators of the department and give Quality care to patients.
