Staff Nurse

Position Summary:

The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with the policies, protocols, and standards of Manipal Hospital. The role involves patient care, monitoring vital signs, administering medication, assisting doctors during procedures, maintaining records, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide holistic nursing care to patients in assigned wards/units.
• Monitor, record, and report patient symptoms and conditions to the physician.
• Administer prescribed medicines, injections, and IV fluids on time.
• Assist doctors during diagnostic tests, procedures, and surgeries.
• Maintain accurate patient records, reports, and charts.
• Ensure infection control practices and hospital protocols are strictly followed.
• Educate and support patients and their attendants regarding care plans, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Handle emergency situations promptly and efficiently.
• Operate and maintain medical equipment safely.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team for smooth patient management.

Skills & Competencies:

• Sound knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and hospital protocols.
• Excellent patient care, empathy, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer literacy (for electronic medical records).

Qualification & Experience:

• Qualification: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
• Registration: Must be a registered nurse with the State Nursing Council.
• Experience: 0–5 years of experience (freshers may also apply).
• Specialization: Experience in ICU, OT, Emergency, or ward nursing will be an added advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹18,086.00 - ₹47,074.71 per month
