Job Description

As a Technical Lead for the Financial Engineering - Business Insights team at Stripe, you will be responsible for managing the technical leadership, execution, and roadmap of the team. Collaborating with business leaders and partner engineering teams, you will play a crucial role in defining product strategy and user experience. Your key responsibilities will include establishing best practices, frameworks, and processes to enhance the team's efficiency, fostering a culture of learning and data-driven decision-making, and mentoring engineers at different career levels. With a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in building large-scale distributed systems, you should have a proven track record of identifying optimization opportunities and making data-driven decisions to influence design choices. Your experience in leading technical teams, creating operational excellence, and fostering collaboration will be essential. Strong collaboration skills, the ability to work in fast-paced environments, and a curiosity to learn deeply about the domain are qualities we value. While preferred qualifications such as working in high-growth teams are beneficial, they are not mandatory. You should possess strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with different audiences. Being adaptable to work on backend, data technologies, and other areas to solve problems and meet user needs will be crucial. As part of our in-office expectations, Stripes are required to spend a significant amount of time in their local office or with users.
