Staff Engineer Backend (Java)

Role Overview: As a Staff Engineer - Backend at our company, you will play a crucial role in defining the technical roadmap and driving innovation. Key Responsibilities: - Define the technical roadmap and drive innovation - Collaborate with product and engineering leadership - Analyze requirements and transform them into scalable software designs - Advocate for code craftsmanship and good coding standards - Define and execute the backend technology strategy - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes Qualifications Required: - 8+ years of backend development experience and a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field - Proficiency in at least one backend language, such as Java - Expertise in backend development using Java EE technologies (e.g., Java language, application servers, servlet containers, JMS, JPA, Spring MVC, Hibernate) - Leadership in designing and architecting scalable backend systems focusing on cloud-native solutions, microservices, and serverless architectures - Experience in architecting and developing large-scale backend systems using Java EE, with a strong background in Spring MVC or Hibernate - Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams, drive technical roadmaps, and align with business objectives - Design and implementation of fault-tolerant systems with an emphasis on high availability and disaster recovery - Knowledge of advanced security practices, including secure coding, encryption, and access control - Ability to influence and mentor engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement - Deep expertise in backend technologies and architecture Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology for software development - Experience with large-scale, high-performance systems - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure - Contributions to open-source projects About the Company: Our company focuses on values such as Inclusion, Innovation, Collaboration, and Wellness.
