Staff Data Engineer Kafka Expert

As a Senior Data Pipeline Engineer, you will work on distributed systems, ensuring data quality, integrity, and accuracy in processing hundreds of billions of messages daily. Key Responsibilities: - Build, administer, and scale data pipelines processing vast amounts of messages across multiple data centers - Develop and enhance existing frameworks used company-wide for producing messages to the data pipeline - Manage data ingestion into various systems such as Hadoop, ElasticSearch, and other Distributed Systems - Create tools to monitor high data accuracy SLAs for the data pipeline - Explore and implement new technologies to enhance data quality, processes, and data flow - Develop high-quality software through design review, code reviews, and test-driven development Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field - 8+ years of industry experience, preferably in a tech company - Proficiency in data architecture principles - Operational experience in debugging production issues - Strong coding skills in multiple programming languages (Golang, Java, Scala, Python, C#, etc.) - Familiarity with Kafka and experience as a Kafka Administrator - Experience with data ingestion from Kafka into various systems like Hadoop and ElasticSearch - Proficiency in Linux systems administration - Contribution to or experience with Open Source Projects Equal Opportunity Employer: Agoda is an equal opportunity employer.
