Position Title: Sr. Staff Associate - Engineering HotBox Department: Engineering Hotbox Position Summary: Provide hands-on support on mechanical and Lab related tasks for R&D projects in the Engineering Hotbox group. Operate the hydrogen compressor, filling and storage equipments as per procedures specified by the equipment manufacturer and statutory requirements. Have to work in rotational shift ( 8 hour shifts). Monitor Key Process parameters and optimize to achieve maximum efficiency. Record and compile operational data and maintain process logs. Follow Standard Operating procedures for start-up and shutdown of the compression system Prepare daily report and circulate about the compressor plant & facility. Perform regular check of the different components and safety features used in the machine. Address any unscheduled maintainance and repair and escalate issues to supervisor for timely recovery of the compressor plant. Respond to problems by adjusting control room equipment or instructing other personnel to adjust equipment at problem locations. Clean machinery or equipment and should do minor repairs on equipment, using handtools. Maintain the requirements of consumables and Co-ordinate with inventory team and ensure the availability of the materials. Skills Required: Diploma/ITI with minimum 4-6 years of experience. Prior experience with operating compressor plant espically Hydrogen or flammable gas is must. Prior work experience of using SCADA, PLC control environment.
