Role Overview As the Business Development Head /Sponsorship Head / CMO, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and leading sponsorship acquisition for sports, entertainment, and brand-related events. This dual-role requires a strategic thinker with a strong network across brands, corporate entities, and agencies Key Responsibilitiy Business Development Identify and pursue new business opportunities across sports management, events, athlete representation, and consulting. Develop and execute short and long-term strategic business plans to meet organizational goals. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, gaps, and growth areas. Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, federations, franchises, clubs, and government bodies. Drive proposals, pitches, presentations, and negotiations with potential partners and clients. Sponsorship Management Lead the planning and execution of sponsorship acquisition strategies across all verticals. Secure sponsorships and brand associations for events, athletes, and IPs managed by Spark. Manage end-to-end sponsor relationships including outreach, deal structuring, activations, and reporting. Create and manage sponsorship decks, value propositions, and marketing materials tailored to client goals. Maintain strong ties with marketing heads, brand managers, and agencies to unlock partnership potential. Key Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management or related field. 8+ years of experience in business development, sponsorship sales, or brand partnerships (preferably in sports, media, or events). Proven track record of revenue generation, client servicing, and building strategic alliances. Strong understanding of sports & entertainment ecosystem in India and internationally. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. High level of professionalism, integrity, and result-orientation.
