As an FPGA Programmer at Electrify Services, you will be a crucial part of our fast-growing engineering services start-up. Your primary responsibility will involve developing FPGA systems by designing the architecture, coding, simulating, and testing. You will play a pivotal role in debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving FPGA-related issues across various processes and projects. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will create and maintain documentation of FPGA designs and projects, ensuring high performance and reliability in FPGA designs. Incorporating DSP technology into next-generation video products will be a key aspect of your role, along with working in a System Verilog/UVM environment platform. You will be responsible for generating an FPGA verification plan, a verification matrix, and creating verification environments for testing and verifying flight FPGA code/modules. Additionally, designing and implementing ARM AXI switches and DMAs between the processor and FPGA subsystems will be part of your responsibilities. Your role will involve close collaboration with the RF team to provide LTE test waveforms to RFIC, PAs, and receivers. You will also be responsible for requirements capture, ASIC/FPGA digital architecture and design using RTL, timing analysis and closure, verification, and system integration. Documenting development progress through writing documents, reports, memos, and change requests will also be essential aspects of your job. We are seeking individuals with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in FPGA Design & Development. Proficiency in hardware description languages (HDLs) like Verilog or VHDL is required, and familiarity with electronics design tools such as Orcad and Altium is an asset. Experience with Xilinx FPGAs, DSP, and software-defined radios is advantageous, as is knowledge of FPGA-based system architectures, including memory interfaces and communication protocols. A strong understanding of digital design principles, RTL hardware design flow, and low-level programming skills in ARM assembly and C are essential. Experience with Xilinx/RVDS/DS-5 SoC ARM-based devices/block memory module capabilities in FPGAs, communication protocols like PCI, PCIe, DDR2/DDR3, I2S, DRAM, and DMA, as well as mapping algorithms and standards to hardware are desirable. Proficiency in microprocessor environment development, Perl, TCL scripting, and in-depth knowledge of SSD technologies and PCIe interfaces are preferred.
