Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain mainframe-based solutions for SSD firmware systems. Lead and mentor a team of developers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to best practices. Collaborate with firmware engineers, QA teams, and system architects to define requirements and design robust, scalable solutions. Write efficient, reusable, and reliable code in COBOL and JCL with integration to DB2 and VSAM. Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and optimize existing code for performance and reliability. Define and implement technical standards and development methodologies. Ensure compliance with security and data protection policies during the development lifecycle. Participate in system testing, performance tuning, and production support activities as needed. Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum of 8 years of experience in mainframe development using JCL, COBOL, DB2, and VSAM . Strong experience in solution design, architecture, and system integration in firmware or storage systems. Proven experience in leading teams, driving development best practices, and managing project timelines. Experience with performance tuning, debugging, and large-scale system design. Familiarity with SSD firmware environments is a strong plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
