About the Role We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Sr. Manager to oversee all financial operations of our Skill Development company. The role involves managing compliance with government-funded projects (DDU-GKY, UPSDM, JSDM, State Skill Missions, etc.), ensuring timely statutory filings, maintaining financial discipline across training centers, and providing strategic financial insights for sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Control Oversee end-to-end accounting, financial planning, and reporting for all company operations. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with statutory and funding agency requirements. Develop and monitor budgets for multiple projects, ensuring effective utilization of funds. Manage working capital, cash flow, and fund disbursements in alignment with project cycles. Compliance & Audit Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (Income Tax, GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, etc.). Manage auditsinternal, statutory, and project-specific (CA audits, NABCON, SRLM audits, CAG, etc.). Ensure timely preparation and submission of UCs (Utilization Certificates), PVs (Physical Verification reports), and other funder-mandated documents. Project Accounting Track fund flows, expenses, and reimbursements for government and CSR skill development projects. Work closely with project teams to validate financial data, billing, and reimbursements from SRLMs and funding agencies. Maintain MIS reports for project-wise profitability, outstanding claims, and risk exposure. Strategic Advisory Provide financial analysis to support decision-making for new bids, tenders, and expansion opportunities (domestic and overseas manpower deployment). Advise management on cost optimization, resource allocation, and financial risks. Support business development by preparing financial models, project costing, and proposals. Team Leadership Lead and mentor the finance & accounts team. Implement systems, processes, and internal controls to strengthen financial governance across multiple states/centers. Ensure training for regional accountants on project finance protocols. Qualifications & Experience Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant (ICWA) / MBA (Finance) with 6–8 years of post-qualification experience. Proven experience as a Finance Manager, or similar role. Prior experience in Skill Development / Education / CSR-funded projects / NGO sector strongly preferred. In-depth knowledge of accounting standards, project-based accounting, and government funding mechanisms. Strong grasp of statutory laws, tax compliance, and audit procedures.
