Role & responsibilities Sets-up milling machines by installing fixtures, tools, attachments Maintains specifications by observing Maintains continuity among work shifts by communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs Maintains safe operations by closely adhering to all safety procedures and regulations Detects equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine, within capabilities Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings Performs milling, boring, drilling Programs mills by entering instructions, including zero and reference points Follows established procedures quality and safety standards Preferred candidate profile Programming (minimum 1 - 2 years experience) Blueprint Reading (minimum 1-2 years experience) Basic industrial safety training Must have CNC Operator experience Experience with performing quality checks with instruments like micrometer, vernier caliper, gauge pins. Role & responsibilities Read technical drawings and set up the machines in accordance with these blueprints Use Master Cam / Solid Cam to model cutting paths and program machines accordingly Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications Should be able to create 3D programming for CNC machines on 3 axis, 4 axis machines Consider tools required to cut particular materials and program machines accordingly Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and sharpening Train new employees on how to properly operate CNC machines and programs Preferred candidate profile Master cam & Solid Cam preferred Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required ITI or DME is preferred Must have strong attention to detail Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential Should have a positive and professional attitude Perks and benefits PF
