As a seasoned professional in system administration and cloud operations, you will be entrusted with the responsibility to lead and manage a team of SRE/Operations engineers. Your role will involve creating a collaborative work environment that fosters high performance among team members. Your primary focus will be on overseeing the support of our SaaS products and services on AWS to ensure optimal uptime and performance. You will leverage your expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Helm to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration, with additional experience in Ansible being a bonus. Managing and optimizing our Kubernetes clusters (EKS) and CI/CD pipelines using tools like ArgoCD will be crucial aspects of your role. To maintain system health, you will proactively monitor for issues, troubleshoot effectively, and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime. In the event of incidents, you will be expected to diagnose root causes and guide the team towards swift resolutions. Developing and implementing efficient SRE operations processes and procedures will be essential to ensure smooth functioning. To excel in this role, you must stay abreast of the latest trends in cloud technologies, SRE best practices, and automation tools. Furthermore, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and providing mentorship to junior engineers will be instrumental in their skill development. Your qualifications should include at least 8 years of experience in system administration, cloud operations, or related fields. Demonstrated leadership in managing SRE/Operations engineers, coupled with a solid understanding of SaaS delivery models and AWS cloud services, will set you up for success. Proficiency in IaC tools like Terraform and Helm, along with experience in Kubernetes (EKS) and CI/CD pipelines using ArgoCD or similar tools, will be highly valued. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills, combined with excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities, are prerequisites for this role.
