Sr. UI Developer (ReactJS)

As a Senior UI developer at ixigo, you will play a crucial role in the design, planning, development, and deployment of various features related to the existing application. Your responsibilities will encompass owning modules end to end and ensuring high-quality work products are delivered. Collaboration with the Tech, Design, and Quality teams is integral to building and launching the product successfully. Your role will involve coding, developing, designing, and architecting features within a highly scalable, multi-tier, distributed server software application. You will be expected to contribute throughout the entire app life cycle from design and build to deployment, testing, release, and ongoing support. Working closely with developers and product managers, you will participate in conceptualizing, building, testing, and finalizing products to meet user needs. In addition, you will be tasked with continuously exploring, assessing, and implementing new technologies to enhance development efficiency. A minimum of 3 years of experience in Javascript/HTML development is required for this position. Previous experience with internet companies or the travel industry will be considered a strong advantage. Essential skills for this role include advanced knowledge of Javascript, CSS3, HTML5, AJAX, JSON, and DOM Concepts. Familiarity with the latest JS frameworks and libraries such as ReactJs and NextJs is essential. Proficiency in JS design patterns, concepts of OOPS, and functional programming in JS is expected. Practical experience with front-end build tools like grunt, gulp, and webpack is necessary. Fluency in responsive design and development for mobile and tablet devices is vital. Experience in Javascript testing using tools like Jest, Enzyme, React Testing Library, or similar frameworks is required. Proficiency in Test Driven Development (TDD) and writing unit tests and UI tests is a must. Knowledge about Frontend performance improvements in common browsers and cross-browser compatibility issues is essential. Additionally, having a sense of appeal and aesthetics from a usability perspective will be beneficial for this role.
