Sr. Technology Engineer - OpenShift Virtualization

As a Senior Technology Engineer at Global Software Solutions working with a major bank in the UAE from their ODC in Bengaluru, you will bring your expertise in managing complex OpenShift Virtualization environments to deliver scalable, secure, and automated cloud infrastructure solutions. Your role within the Cloud Platform team will involve implementing orchestration, automation, DevSecOps practices, and infrastructure-as-code solutions while contributing to architectural design, security, and platform governance. Your responsibilities will include designing and managing the Core OpenShift Platform and its virtualization capabilities, implementing automation for infrastructure provisioning and scaling using Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps principles, collaborating with platform owners and DevOps teams to define architectural standards, managing the lifecycle and performance of platform components, ensuring high availability and compliance with security/risk policies, contributing to Agile ceremonies and roadmap planning, conducting technical training and mentoring, and integrating DevSecOps tools into CI/CD pipelines. Additionally, you will leverage logging/monitoring tools to build observability into all systems. The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering or platform engineering with expertise in OpenShift / OpenShift Virtualization, Kubernetes, Linux, Terraform, Ansible, and API Gateways. You should also have experience with Groovy/Ansible scripting, GitOps practices, infrastructure automation, knowledge of DevOps/DevSecOps tooling and CI/CD integration, understanding of networking fundamentals, public cloud providers, and container orchestration. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and the capacity to work in cross-functional Agile teams are essential. Preferred qualifications include a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields, professional certifications in Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Cloud Platforms, and experience working in Banking, Financial Services, or high-security enterprise environments.
