Sr Tax Accountant

As a Sr Tax Accountant at Aptean, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and compliant filing of direct and indirect tax returns for a portfolio of EMEA entities within a dynamic and rapidly growing private equity backed group. With 5-6 years of experience, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of year-end tax returns in various countries such as UK, Denmark, Germany, Austria, and more. Your role will involve supervising the filing of VAT returns, addressing tax compliance issues, and conducting research on tax topics across Europe. Your responsibilities will include overseeing R&D claims, ensuring accurate transfer pricing calculations, and submitting Tax residency certificates across EMEA. Additionally, you will assist with EMEA accounting, reconciliations of tax accounts, and year-end global provision for consolidated group audit under US GAAP. You will also contribute to the implementation of tax engine and e-invoicing software to comply with European Commissions VAT regulations and manage the impact of BEPS 2.0 on the group. To excel in this role, you must possess a strong understanding of technical accounting principles and hold a recognized professional accountancy qualification. Your commitment to meeting tight deadlines, keen eye for accuracy, and ability to adapt to a changing environment will be essential. Excellent analytical and communication skills are key, along with experience in change management and dealing with complex data sets. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in tax compliance across Europe, with preferred background in global software industry. A recognised accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACA, or ACCA is required.
