Sr. Software Engineer, Search and AI

Role Overview: As a Senior Software Engineer in Search at Highspot, you will utilize the latest innovations in search/AI technology to enhance search relevancy, ranking, and recommendations. Collaborating with various stakeholders, you will analyze search-related issues and requirements to architect and implement efficient and scalable solutions. Your role will involve working on traditional keyword search techniques, hybrid techniques, and other AI technologies to optimize search results, all while rigorously measuring and driving the quality of the outcomes. Highspot is seeking highly motivated individuals who excel in a team-oriented, iterative, and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: - Develop highly-available distributed services, with a focus on enhancing existing systems. - Experiment with diverse techniques to enhance search quality, relevance, and user experiences. - Assist in designing and implementing new search features and functionalities. - Collaborate with UX and Product Management teams to create a seamless end-to-end customer experience. - Write maintainable and testable code to ensure system reliability. - Contribute to both internal and external technical documentation. - Address issues concerning mission-critical services and establish automation to prevent problem recurrence. Qualifications Required: - 6+ years of relevant professional experience, excluding internships/co-ops. - Strong comprehension of enterprise search and search architecture. - Proficiency in search and related technologies like Solr, ElasticSearch, and Lucene. - Demonstrated expertise in schema design, relevancy tuning, boosting, and optimization. - Prior experience working with cloud services, preferably AWS or Azure. - Familiarity with search ranking and machine learning is a significant advantage.,
