You will collaborate with software developers, and data scientists to perform end-to-end automated tests, verify complex analytical requirements, and ensure data quality on advanced data platforms/applications. It requires problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, proficiency in automated testing tools/frameworks and improve processes.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Delivers complete solutions spanning all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) (design, implementation, testing, delivery and operations), based on definitions from more senior roles.
- Advises immediate management on project-level issues
- Guides junior engineers
- Operates with little day-to-day supervision, making technical decisions based on knowledge of internal conventions and industry best practices
- Applies knowledge of technical best practices in making decisions
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Additional Responsibilities And Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Familiarity with Java or another object-oriented programming language.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Perl or Shell.
- Knowledge of Oracle/SQL relational databases or Aerospike key-value database operations.
- Comfortable working in Unix/Linux environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Agile, flexible, and capable of multitasking while learning new technologies and domains.
- Understanding of data quality assurance principles and practices.
- Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and applications.
