Sr Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer at PierSight Space, a Space Technology company with a presence in Ahmedabad, California, and Bangalore, you will be an integral part of our pioneering team on a mission to build the world's largest constellation of Synthetic Aperture Radar and AIS satellites for comprehensive ocean surveillance. With the support of prestigious institutional investors like Alphawave Global, Elevation Capital, All in Capital, and Techstars, we are poised to make a significant impact in the industry. Your role will involve leading the development of our Maritime Tracking and Analysis software, requiring a deep understanding of full-stack web development, geospatial data, Docker, Kubernetes, and product management. Cloud certifications would be an added advantage. Key Responsibilities: - Architect the full Maritime Analysis and Tracking System to meet business needs and technical requirements. - Manage the product development lifecycle from concept to delivery. - Lead and manage a team of developers, providing technical guidance and support. - Ensure timely delivery of the product within scope and quality standards. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives. - Create detailed product specifications and technical documentation. - Make decisions on technology stacks and architectural patterns. - Oversee the implementation of product features and ensure quality control. Key Skills And Qualifications: - 4-6 years of full-stack web development experience. - Strong understanding of building and managing geospatial data. - Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes. - Solid grasp of product management principles. - Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) are advantageous. - Excellent problem-solving capabilities and analytical thinking. - Strong communication and leadership abilities. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
