Sr Software Engineer - Java l AWS l Scala

Role Overview: As a Software Engineer at the company, your primary role will involve software development of application or system components, including design and review. You will also be responsible for unit and integration testing of developed code, as well as investigating and analyzing root causes of software and system defects. Additionally, you will create and execute approved test plans, analyze and report results, and maintain tools and processes that support and automate software product release. Understanding the technical aspects of the products used to support configuration management activities of the development process will be crucial. You will also be tasked with adapting configuration management tools for the complex needs of the development teams and decomposing requirements for testability, providing feedback to the requirement gathering process. Interacting with customers/users to support the software acceptance process and acting as a liaison between development and the user community will also be part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Design and review software application or system components - Conduct unit and integration testing of developed code - Investigate and analyze root causes of software and system defects - Create and execute approved test plans and analyze and report results - Maintain tools and processes that support and automate software product release - Understand technical aspects of products for configuration management activities - Adapt configuration management tools for development team needs - Decompose requirements for testability and provide feedback to requirement gathering process - Interact with customers/users to support software acceptance process and act as a liaison between development and user community Qualifications Required: - BE/ME/MCA degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed college/university - 4+ years of hands-on application development experience - Proficiency in Java 1.8 and above or Scala - Experience with AWS or any Cloud platform - Exposure to Angular JS or React is an added advantage - Knowledge of Web Services, Microservices, and REST services - Familiarity with the Spring Framework - Experience with unit testing frameworks like JUnit and Mockito - Proficient in SQL - Understanding of Agile software development process - Familiarity with Configuration Management tools such as Git & Gitlab - Strong oral and written communication skills in English Additional Company Details: HERE Technologies is a location data and technology platform company that empowers its customers to achieve better outcomes, from managing infrastructure to optimizing assets and guiding drivers safely to their destinations.
