Description
As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in IVR and chatbots applications, you will be responsible for handling production IVR and chatbots applications. Your primary duties will include understanding business requirements, coordinating with the development team to ensure the requirements are met, and planning and overseeing smooth deployments and post-production support. You will need to ensure that the applications are running smoothly with adequate monitoring and are available 24/7 unless there are planned downtime activities. Collaboration with stakeholders and different teams will be crucial for the delivery and support of the applications. You will also be responsible for ensuring the stability and health of the IVR and chatbot applications in production, conducting regular reviews on infrastructure usage, automating BAU tasks, supporting applications during incidents or outages, and following the RCA and problem management process as per policies. Additionally, you will work on documentation related to DR, day-to-day activities, backups, SOP adherence, audit evidence gathering, and compliance with HR and organizational policies. Your role will involve collaborating with business stakeholders, working with vendors for upgrades and incident fixes, identifying system improvements, revenue opportunities, and simplifying system complexity. You will be responsible for providing support for IVR and chatbot systems to ensure expected system availability and stability as per business criticality SLA/TAT. Proactive system monitoring, analysis, service ticket support, closure, and participation in audit and compliance activities will also be part of your responsibilities. In terms of decision-making, you will design functional solutions to business requirements, use effective judgment to achieve better results, highlight workplace deliverables concerns, and propose alternative solutions when needed. Your domain knowledge should include Avaya IVR, Avaya Orchestration Designer, chatbot technologies, Azure, microservices, Java, SQL Server, Apache Tomcat, Kubernetes, and RESTful webservice interfaces.
