As a Senior Software Engineer at Coupa, you will be instrumental in scaling our platforms and striking a balance between a consolidated codebase and the flexibility of microservices. You will collaborate closely with Product and Development teams to develop new features and devise elegant solutions to complex problems. Additionally, you will provide guidance, review designs and implementations, and mentor fellow team members systematically. To excel in this role, you should bring to Coupa at least 5 years of software development experience, preferably with Ruby on Rails. Strong object-oriented design skills, proficiency in building REST APIs and microservices, familiarity with common design patterns, and expertise in React.js (or similar Javascript framework) and CSS are key qualifications. A solid understanding of MySQL and database optimization, along with experience in technical mentoring, will be highly beneficial in contributing to Coupa's success.
