Sr Software Engg Lead- Mainframe

As a Mainframe DevOps Engineer at this company, your role will involve a solid understanding of software engineering processes, such as design patterns, algorithms, data structures, schemas and queries, system design, unit testing, code reviews, agile, and dev-ops. You will analyze business requirements to develop Data Visualizations & Dashboards for Health Care and Reporting systems. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting Scrum ceremonies and providing support for Application Maintenance and New Development support. In case of production issues, you will resolve them by code debugging, analyze logs, perform reverse engineering to find the root cause, and suggest a permanent fix within SLA (Service Level Agreement). You should be available for production deployments and troubleshooting during off hours/weekends. **Key Responsibilities:** - Solid understanding of software engineering processes - Analyze business requirements for Data Visualizations & Dashboards - Conduct Scrum ceremonies - Provide support for Application Maintenance and New Development - Resolve production issues by code debugging, log analysis, and reverse engineering - Available for production deployments and troubleshooting during off hours/weekends **Qualifications Required:** - Mainframe DevOps Engineer - 7 years of experience with Mainframe Technologies (JCL, COBOL, DB2, CICS, VSAM) - 7 years of experience with DB Any RDBMS DB2, No SQL - 6 years of experience with production operational support Service Incident Triaging, Batch Monitoring - 4 years with Performance techniques and Tuning requests - 3 Years with DevOps Tools and techniques - Strong experience in a quickly changing environment and driving technological innovation - Proven track record of building relationships across cross-functional teams - Excellent time management, communication, decision making, and presentation skills - Experience with Agile, Scrum, and Kanban principles - Ability to manage code migration through various release stages - Flexible to work in different shifts and take on-call responsibility in rotation In addition to these responsibilities and qualifications, this company, Optum, is dedicated to making the health system work better for everyone.
