Sr. Software Development Engineer (Backend)

We are a SaaS company providing travel planning, booking, and exploration capabilities for travel agents to launch their own business with the click of a few buttons, corporate traveling enablement, social travel sales, and embedded integration with super applications. Our services are already powering several hundred agencies, and we are now entering the next phase of growth to extend and enhance our current capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Build new features, fix bugs, and maintain existing code for both frontend and backend.
  
• Write unit, functional, integration, and performance test cases.
  
• Troubleshoot production issues and roll out hot fixes to solve immediate customer needs.
  
• Own and deliver end-to-end solutions (Ideation Design Build Operationalize Support).
  
• Collaborate with business analysts, UX designers, front-end engineers, product managers, and quality engineers on a daily basis.
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in full-cycle software development.
  
• Expert-level skill in

  Go

  or

  Rust

  or

  Java

  (Go preferred).
• Experience in designing and building API services.
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, can-do attitude, and communication skills.
  
• Strong data structures and algorithms knowledge (LeetCode/HackerRank experience is a plus).
  
• Familiarity with design patterns and best practices.
  
• Contributions to open-source projects are a plus.
  
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is a plus (not mandatory).
  
• Experience with SDLC tools like Git, JIRA, Jenkins, Code Coverage, Load/Performance tools, AWS CodeDeploy, etc. is a plus.
  
• Experience in monitoring and alerting tools is a plus.
  

Additional Notes

• API-first development mindset is required.
  
• Passion and curiosity to learn new technologies, languages, and patterns to improve security, availability, performance, and capabilities quickly.
  
• Previous startup experience is a strong advantage, along with a can-do attitude.
