Sr. Software Development Engineer

Role: CloudOps Engineer AWS & Windows/Linux Focus

YOE: 6 to 9 years

Location: Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune

About The Job

What You Will Do

• Manage and monitor AWS cloud infrastructure, including services like EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, ELB, CloudWatch, and more.
• Perform system administration tasks for both Linux and Windows environmentspatching, log analysis, access control, and troubleshooting.
• Support infrastructure provisioning and automation using Terraform and AWS-native tools.
• Provide L2/L3 support for internal teams and business-critical applications.
• Participate in on-call rotation including weekends as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation: SOPs, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and recovery plans.
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure access control, data protection, and policy adherence.
  

Who You Are

(Education & Experience)

• Experience: 69 years in Cloud Infrastructure Operations, with significant hands-on exposure to AWS.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• System Administration Expertise: Strong working knowledge of both Linux and Windows Server environments.
  

Technical Skills

• Deep familiarity with AWS services: EC2, EKS (basic), S3, IAM, CloudWatch, ELB, Route 53, Lambda, SNS, Cognito, API Gateway.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) expertise using Terraform.
• Security Tools:
• Mandatory : Acunetix, Veracode
• Preferred : SonarQube, MEND, Fortify
• Basic scripting with Shell/Bash or Python for automation and diagnostics.
• Tools & Utilities: Postman, VI/VIM, general-purpose text editors.
• Experience with ticketing tools like JIRA, ServiceNow, or equivalents.
• (Optional) Middleware knowledge: WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss.
• Strong understanding of networking, resource management, and data handling in cloud environments.
  

Nice to Have

• Exposure to ECS, Docker, or Podman for container operations.
• AWS Certifications (e.g., SysOps Administrator, Solutions Architect Associate).
• Basic understanding of Oracle DB or MySQL administration.
• Familiarity with Ansible for automation and configuration management.
