Role Overview: As a Senior Shopify Developer, you will play a crucial role within the development team by taking charge of designing, developing, and maintaining highly efficient, scalable, and user-friendly Shopify stores. Your primary responsibility will involve customizing and enhancing e-commerce websites using Shopify's platform. Key Responsibilities: - Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code for Shopify themes and customizations, ensuring strict adherence to best practices and Shopify's guidelines. - Lead the development and upkeep of intricate e-commerce features and functionalities, collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and fellow developers. - Conduct thorough code reviews and offer constructive feedback to enhance overall code quality and development practices within the team. - Write, maintain, and optimize tests to guarantee the reliability and performance of Shopify stores; identify and resolve advanced bugs and performance issues. - Develop and oversee reusable components and custom sections within Shopify themes to streamline development processes and ensure consistency across various projects. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend developers and designers, to seamlessly integrate front-end components with Shopify's backend services. - Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation to facilitate ongoing development, knowledge sharing, and onboarding of new team members. - Stay updated with the latest technologies, frameworks, and methodologies relevant to Shopify development and leverage this knowledge to enhance existing processes and solutions. Qualifications Required: - Possess 2.6 to 6 years of front-end development experience with a strong emphasis on Shopify. - Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Shopify's Liquid templating language with a profound understanding of Shopify's best practices and conventions. - Have a strong grasp of front-end technologies like JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, along with experience in crafting responsive and optimized Shopify themes. - Showcase extensive experience in customizing Shopify themes and working with Shopify's APIs and app integrations to deliver tailored e-commerce solutions. - Proficient in utilizing version control systems, particularly Git, to effectively manage and collaborate on codebases. - Exhibit excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug, optimize, and enhance front-end code and e-commerce functionality. - Show a proven ability to mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. - Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts and collaborate efficiently with cross-functional teams.
