Sr. Security Test Engineer - Vulnerability Testing

Role Overview: You will take on the role of a Senior Security Test Engineer at Rockwell Automation, where you will lead various aspects of analyzing and implementing penetration vulnerabilities in Rockwell Automation products. Your responsibilities will include all phases of a product lifecycle, such as requirements gathering, software architecture, software design, implementation, and maintenance. You will be working on sustainable automation infrastructure projects to support multiple test areas. As a member of a small to medium-sized team, you will also be expected to collaborate with other teams. Key Responsibilities: - Perform complex Penetration Test investigations, report encountered problems, and document results for follow-up. - Architect Penetration Testing solutions at the project level and demonstrate knowledge of software Security Test techniques. - Participate in software/product design and implementation reviews and lead the development of Security Penetration Test strategies and frameworks. - Develop Penetration Test procedures for multiple groups and provide input into the design and implementation of product and system test set-ups related to Security Test. - Stay updated on the "vulnerability landscape" and evaluate potential impacts of attacks on the product portfolio. - Investigate penetration vulnerabilities, devise mitigation plans, and lead reviews of internal and external penetration test plans. - Command respect within and outside the automation groups by identifying needs, adjusting, and implementing initiatives. Qualifications Required: - Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with a concentration in software; or equivalent knowledge in software engineering. - Typically requires 4 years of experience in Security Test Automation, Software Testing, Software Development, or other relevant roles. - Experience in penetration testing of web applications and APIs, understanding of OWASP Top 10, SSRF, authentication bypasses, and other common vulnerabilities. - Experience in penetration testing applications in cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and network and file fuzzing of open protocols and formats. - Experience with common software programming languages such as Python.
