Sr. QA Lead

We are looking for a Technical Lead - Quality Engineering and Assurance with 6-10 years of experience to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and testing methodologies, with expertise in various testing frameworks and tools. The role involves leading the quality engineering efforts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions, and driving continuous improvement within the QA team. Key Responsibilities: Lead the quality engineering and assurance team in designing and implementing robust testing strategies for software applications. Collaborate with development teams to define test requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, Cucumber, and Cypress. Execute and manage REST API testing to validate back-end services and integrations. Utilize Gherkin syntax for behavior-driven development (BDD) to enhance test case design and communication. Conduct requirement analysis to ensure all testing scenarios are captured and met. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the QA processes and advocate for best practices in quality assurance. Mentor and guide junior QA engineers in testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective delivery of software products. Must-Have Skills: Strong experience in Java programming and automation testing frameworks, particularly Selenium. Proficiency in using Cucumber for BDD testing and Cypress for end-to-end testing. Expertise in REST API testing tools and methodologies. Familiarity with Gherkin syntax for writing test scenarios. Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on requirement analysis. Proven experience in leading QA teams and managing testing projects. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with performance testing tools and techniques. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
