Sr. Power System Simulation Study Engineer

As a Power System Application Engineer at our organization, you will be a key player in the sustainable grid integration projects in Renewables, Data Centre, and industrial sectors. Your responsibilities will include conducting power system studies, simulations, and calculations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring grid compliance. Your expertise will be crucial in providing technical support and optimizing solutions for various projects. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct power system studies such as Load Flow, Short Circuit, and Power Quality Analysis - Perform sizing calculations and analyze data for effective solutions - Understand and ensure compliance with grid performance requirements and customer specifications - Collaborate with customers, internal stakeholders, and remote teams - Provide engineering support for tenders and projects in Industrial, Renewables, Data Centre, and Transportation sectors - Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations and guidelines Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering with specialization in Power system and power electronics; Power Quality know-how preferred - 8 to 10 years of experience as a Power System/Power quality Engineer - Good understanding of High, Medium, and Low voltage AC and DC Electrical distribution systems - Experience in conducting power system studies and calculations, including Load flows, short circuits, and harmonics analysis - Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills - Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for explaining technical matters Please note that Hitachi Energy values safety and integrity, and it is essential to take responsibility for your actions while caring for colleagues and the business.
