The Role
We are seeking a versatile and imaginative Motion Graphic Designer to conceptualize, design, and animate visual elements for all our video content and marketing materials. You will be the primary artistic force behind the on-screen graphics, ensuring that all motion elements are aesthetically superb, conceptually clear, and consistent with our educational mission and brand identity. This role requires a strong sense of design, storytelling, and technical proficiency.
What You'll Do
Design & Animation Production
- Design, animate, and produce high-quality 2D and 3D motion graphics, lower thirds, informational charts, animated text, character animations, and visual effects for educational courses, social media, and marketing campaigns.
- Transform complex educational data and concepts into clear, simple, and captivating animated visuals that enhance comprehension and learner engagement.
- Develop and maintain a consistent visual language for all motion graphics, ensuring strict adherence to brand guidelines, typography, color palettes, and animation styles.
- Integrate motion graphics seamlessly into live-action footage and video edits, collaborating closely with the Video Editor to ensure perfect timing and synchronization.
- Collaboration & Visual Strategy
- Act as a creative partner, collaborating with content developers, subject matter experts, marketers, and designers to conceptualize and storyboard motion graphic sequences for new video projects.
- Stay current with emerging design trends, animation techniques, and software capabilities to continually elevate the quality and innovation of our visual content.
- Create style frames and mockups to effectively communicate design ideas and secure stakeholder buy-in before beginning the animation process.
Workflow
- Manage the entire motion design workflow, from initial concept and design through final rendering and delivery, ensuring all files are optimized for various platforms (e.g., YouTube, social feeds, in-app use).
- Maintain impeccable organization of project files, design assets, templates, and libraries to facilitate efficient collaboration and future reusability.
- Ensure all animations are technically sound, performing rigorous quality checks for smooth playback, accurate color, and correct resolution.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing tasks and meeting tight deadlines without compromising the quality of the final output.
What You've Done
- 4+ years of professional experience focused primarily on motion graphic design and animation, ideally in an edtech or content-heavy digital media environment.
- Mastered tools like Adobe After Effects and Illustrator with a strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop.
- Built a strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of motion graphic styles, creative problem-solving, and a deep understanding of animation principles (timing, spacing, etc.).
- Demonstrated mastery of composition, color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy.
- Proven ability to translate written or verbal creative briefs into compelling visual narratives.

- Design Standardization: Successfully create and organize a master library of 50+ modular, reusable motion graphic templates for common educational elements (charts, intros, lower thirds) within 3 months.
- Efficiency: Reduce the average time spent on creating standard motion graphic assets by 20% through template utilization and efficient workflows.
- Creative Innovation: Introduce and successfully implement two new, innovative motion graphic styles that become standard features in flagship content by the end of the year.
