Sr. Maximo Lead/Architect

Role Overview

The Maximo Developer will lead the design, customization, enhancement, and integration of IBM Maximo solutions, focusing on reliability, predictive maintenance, and digital transformation across enterprise asset management. This role involves collaborating with business analysts, engineers, and IT teams to convert business requirements into robust Maximo functionalities and integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and support IBM Maximo applications, including custom modules and technical components.
• Lead the development of BIRT reports, automation scripts (Jython/Python), and tailor Maximo using Java and Maximo Application Designer.
• Deliver integrations with external systems (ERP, IoT, third-party apps) using MIF, REST/SOAP APIs, or middleware tools.
• Configure and customize Maximo MAS suite modules for asset performance, predictive maintenance, and reliability strategies.
• Develop and maintain workflows, cron tasks, escalations, and backend components such as MBOs and bean classes.
• Collaborate in Agile teams for requirement analysis, design sessions, and system upgrades or migrations.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues; provide Tier 3 support and root cause analysis for Maximo applications.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, user guides, and system specifications for custom builds and integrations.
• Mentor junior developers and coordinate with stakeholders to align deliverables with business objectives.

Required Skills and Experience

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in IBM Maximo (v7.x, MAS8/9 preferred) with strong background in technical customization.
• Expertise in automation scripting (Jython, Python), BIRT reporting, and Maximo Integration Framework (MIF).
• Advanced skills in Java/J2EE, SQL, and database management (Oracle, SQL Server).
• Experience integrating Maximo with ERP, legacy, or third-party systems using web services, API, or middleware.
• Proven ability to develop workflows, cron tasks, escalations, and design functional business solutions in Maximo.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices, SDLC phases, and DevOps tools (JIRA, GIT).
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management abilities.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Desirable Qualifications

• MAS 8/9, Cognos, or Maximo certification.
• Experience with reliability-centered maintenance, Maximo Mobility, or IoT integration.
