Sr Manager - Purchase & VD

Role & responsibilities

• To locate vendors (in India/abroad) for components like fine blanking, sintered products, Investment/ Malleable Castings, Sheet Metal Etc.
• Should be able to do cost analysis, technical discussions and finalize the orders.
• Should be able to handle Imports: Parts/Capital Equipments/R.M.
• Developing alternate suppliers through Rationalization/ Upgradation.
• Exposure to forging, casting, machining vendors is required Purchase RM in terms of coils & sheets of spring steel, crome vanadium steel, stainless steel.
• Work with suppliers for reducing the PPM-Rejections and establishing the Quality Systems at suppliers end

Desired Skills:

Technical:

1. Exposure to Precision Component, Machining, Blanking, forging, casting, RM Purchase rod, coil sheet strip vendors is required.
2. Sound Knowledge of SAP.
3. Analytical skills and eye for detail.
